A Letter to Myself
My Dearest Me,
I hope on the day you are reading this, you are feeling fulfilled, at peace, and filled with a deep sense of contentment about where life has taken you. As I sit here penning this letter, I can't help but reflect on the long and winding road that has led you to this moment. The up-hills, the downhills, the triumphs and the struggles have all culminated in the remarkable person you have become.
I think back to those youthful days filled with big dreams, lofty ambitions, and that burning desire to leave an indelible mark on this world. While the path may have zigged and zagged in ways you never could have anticipated, I hope the core of who you are remains intact. That unrelenting drive, that compassionate spirit, that wonderful sense of humor that could make even the darkest clouds part - may they forever be pillars of your identity.
Have you stayed true to yourself? Have you nourished those relationships that matter most? Have you pursued the passions that set your soul on fire? I desperately hope the answer is a resounding "yes" because you, my dearest self, deserve to feel the warm glow of dreams realized and purposeful living.
No doubt there have been stumbles along the way - moments where fear threatened to strangle your ambition, where self-doubt tried to convince you that you didn't have what it takes. But you persisted, didn't you? You looked that fear and self-doubt squarely in the eyes and refused to back down. For that, I am in awe of your resilience and determination.
As you read these words echoing from the past, take a moment to pat yourself on the back. You've earned it. The sacrifices, the long hours, the times you picked yourself back up after falling - they were all worthwhile investments into crafting a life well-lived and well-loved.
My sincerest wish is that you are surrounded by people who enrich your spirit, challenges that invigorate your mind, and meanings that fill your heart to the brim. You had the courage to chase great things - I hope you had the wisdom to appreciate them when they arrived.
This grand journey is far from over, my dearest self. Use this moment not just to revel in how far you've come, but as inspiration to dream newer, bigger, bolder dreams. You, better than anyone, know what you're capable of. So keep defying expectations, keep pushing boundaries, keep exploring frontiers for as long as you can. And please, never stop surprising yourself.
Yours forever,
My Eternal Self.
