Once they stood tall, majestic and divine,
Ruling the heavens, their power sublime.
But now their light begins to dim and fade,
As the old order crumbles, their reign betrayed.

The gods of old, their glory now in decline,
Fade from the world, their radiance no longer to shine.
Humanity's faith, once their sustaining grace,
Now turns away, leaving them in this dark place.

The thunderous voice, the lightning's fierce might,
All now grow silent, extinguished their light.
The temples stand empty, the altars grow cold,
As the dying gods their final stories unfold.

Elegy for a Fallen Deity

Once you stood tall, a beacon in the sky,
Your radiant power shining for all to see.
Worshippers flocked to your hallowed halls,
Offering prayers and sacrifices with fervor.

But now your light grows dim, your strength wanes,
As the tides of belief ebb and flow away.
The faithful few cling to your fading glory,
But their numbers dwindle, their voices grow faint.

The grand temples that bore your name lie in ruin,
Crumbling monuments to a bygone age.
The rituals and rites that once sustained you,
Forgotten, abandoned to the march of time.

You who once commanded the forces of nature,
Now find your dominion slipping from your grasp.
The storms you summoned, the earth you shook,
All fade into memory, your power now spent.

A deep sorrow fills the hearts of your last devotees,
As they bear witness to your slow, inexorable decline.
The mighty god they once revered, now but a shadow,
Fading into the mists of history, never to rise again.

In the twilight of your reign, you face the abyss,
Powerless to halt the relentless march of change.
Your once-proud legacy now but a distant echo,
As a new pantheon of gods rises to take your place.dows, lost to mortal sight.
