1) Never leave nails exposed- When your nails have a coat of armor in the name of base coat, polish and top coat, they are protected from water. They are also less likely to break and chip because they are safer.
2) Dip the nails in oil- Take 1 tbsp each of almond and castor oil, add some hand cream to it and now soak your nails in it for about 15-20 minutes. Take out your hands and massage the mixture into your hands. With this, your nails as well as hands will get full nutrition and moisture.
3) Lack of moisture- When the temperature starts to drop in the winter season, nails like any part of the body also start losing moisture. Therefore, due to lack of moisture, the nails become dry. Hence, keep your hands, fingers and nails moisturized during the cold season to prevent moisture loss and prevent your nails from cracking and peeling. Use a good hand cream and keep in mind that apply a layer of that cream on each nail and massage well.
4) Humidifiers- These work wonders for turning dry and cold air into warm, moist air. The warm, moist air doesn't let your skin, hair and nails die. For this, if you can keep your hand immersed in lukewarm water.
5) Cutting the cuticles- We all keep pushing and cutting our cuticles. But cuticles are not the enemy, in fact they protect our nails naturally. Moisturizing the cuticles with cream or oil helps protect and strengthen your nails.
6) Use Gloves- Gloves can be worn while working with your hands for better nail care. With this you can save your nails from drying and at the same time keep the dirt away from your nails. Not only this, it can also protect them from breakage in cold weather.
