Why Hindu nationalism is against democracy and equality

While it has garnered substantial support from India's Hindu majority, cutting across class and caste lines, its implications for the democratic fabric of the nation are troubling.

Hindu nationalism advocates for the importance of Hindu culture and identity, often at the expense of India's religious and cultural pluralism. This ideology has manifested in policies and rhetoric that marginalize religious minorities, particularly Muslims, and challenge the secular foundation of the Indian state.
