Month in Review - April 2023
Introduction
Hello BULBers, we made it!
On 15 April 2023, BULB was officially launched and we are one giant step closer towards our mission to popularise the concepts of Write-to-Earn and Read-to-Earn.
Undoubtedly, April was one of the most important months in BULB’s journey so far, and none of this would have happened without the support of the amazing BULB community. For that, we want to thank you all!
We have a lot to unpack in this edition, so let’s dive into it…
Feature Releases
New Features in April
Official Launch was jammed packed with a ton of feature releases, here is a recap of all the new features from Official Launch:
- 250 new BULBmoji NFTs to help you Do-to-Earn even better.
- New ‘Refer-to-Earn’ and ‘Share-to-Earn’ features so you can start earning by sharing blogs or referring friends to join BULB.
- Writer analytics to help you learn more about how readers engage with your blogs.
- Dark mode so you can use BULB day or night.
- Recommended reading so you know what to read next after you’ve finished reading a blog.
- Email subscriptions so you can build your audience on BULB or never miss an article from your favourite writers.
- Personalised writing tips to help improve your writing and maximise your points on BULB.
- Optional weekly email updates to keep you up to date on your activity each week.
- Video embedding to allow Youtube links to be added to your blogs.

This month, platform activity has been up and it’s great to see users exploring all of these new features. We are starting to see more feedback on the platform popping up here and there and we’d love to see more community members giving their feedback, whether it is on Twitter, Discord or via our feedback form.
BULBmoji NFTs & NFT Marketplace
BULB NFT Marketplace
Another very exciting thing is that the NFT marketplace activity started to pick up! BULBmoji NFTs are one of the key ways for writers and readers to monetise their BULB Token earnings into real dollars, as anyone can purchase BULBmoji NFT Packs in BULB Tokens, and list the NFT onto the marketplace for SOL.
Speaking of which, there are still a bunch BULBmoji Packs left, so be sure to grab yours before they run out!
Community Update
A Growing User Base
The word is starting to get out there and we have recently just cracked 1,500 BULBers and we are moving quickly towards 1,600. It’s very promising to see writers and readers out there who connect with BULB’s vision. We encourage the BULB community to utilise our Refer-to-Earn and Share-to-Earn feature and spread the word for BULB!
Getting the Word Out There
Perhaps one of the coolest things happened recently from the community side is BULB’s Platform Youtube Review from @Liteliger. Liteliger discussed BULB's mechanics, tokenmomics, UI/UX, BULBmoji NFTs and much more. Overall, it was a super informative and insightful review and we would encourage the community to share with new joiners or prospective users to give them a feel of what BULB is all about.
The Road From Here
There are still a million things that BULB would like to do in 2023 and beyond. But to boil it down to three key areas, we will focus on:
- Artificial intelligence
- More token use cases
- BULB Community
Without spoiling too much, we want to create an AI tool that will act as a co-pilot for both writers and readers and improve the content creating and engaging process. The writer tips for example is a good foundation, where with the click of a button, writers can get a few useful tips to improve their writing; and this can be turbo-charged with AI technology.
