Trump reaffirms commitment to establish Bitcoin reserve fund for the US
New US President Donald Trump wants to consolidate the United States' leading position in the world in the field of cryptocurrencies with a Bitcoin reserve fund strategy.
Attending the opening bell of the New York Stock Exchange on December 13 (US time) on the occasion of being voted 'Person of the Year' by TIME Magazine, new President Donald Trump once again emphasized his commitment to accepting Bitcoin that he made during the election campaign.
Specifically, when asked by famous CNBC TV host Jim Cramer whether the US will establish a Bitcoin reserve fund "similar to what it did with oil", Mr. Trump replied:
"I think so. We're going to do something great with crypto, because we don't want China, or anyone who is adopting crypto to do that, we want to be the leader of the trend."

Trump also wants the US to be a pioneer in AI technology, as demonstrated by the appointment of a personal advisor on crypto and AI at the White House, Mr. David Sacks, the former COO of PayPal and a famous Silicon Valley tech investor with radical views on cryptocurrencies.
In addition, Axios news agency cited an internal source confirming that Mr. Trump is very interested in the cryptocurrency market, considering its importance no different from the stock market and wants the price of Bitcoin to reach the milestone of $150,000 in the early stages of his presidential term.
Mr. Trump is also the first US President to post a congratulatory message for Bitcoin reaching the historic milestone of $100,000 on December 5, exactly 1 month after he won the election. The new President also acknowledged that he had a great deal of credit for helping BTC achieve this feat.
