What is Mode?

Mode is the Modular DeFi L2 building the Superchain alongside Optimism.
The goal of Mode is to empower developers and users to grow an ecosystem of world-class applications and be directly rewarded for their contribution.

Mode builds new onchain economic systems to enable developers to scale their applications, provide higher yields for users. If you have ever deployed to any EVM chains you can deploy to Mode quickly and easily.

We have built in mechanisms into the protocol such as Sequencer Fee Sharing and user referral fees as ways of rewarding whoever helps the ecosystem grow.

Mode is committed to rewarding developers who grow the Mode ecosystem via the following mechanisms:
Sequencer Fee Sharing In addition, Mode builds with contract revenue-sharing incentives at the protocol layer. Applications and users that scale the Mode blockchain are motivated to work together and directly receive a proportion of network sequencer profits. Developer Airdrops Mode will run a series of developer airdrops which reward developers for their contributions to the Mode ecosystem. A significant portion of MODE is available for developers. Optimism's RPG Funding All developers building Open Source apps and tools on Mode can apply for Optimism's $2b RPG Funding program. The Mode team will assist developers with their applications.

Mode has implemented Optimism's Bedrock upgrade which has significantly reduced the fees to be over 95% less than Ethereum. This makes it fast and cheap to use, great for end-user dApps!

Mode is airdropping 550,000,000 MODE to early airdrop participants. Sign up for the airdrop, connect your wallet and bridge tokens Mode to collect points. Also refer your friends to earn more points. Points will be converted to MODE at token launch.

Step-by-Step Guide:
Visit the Mode airdrop page.

1. Enter invite code “hdq1cM“.
2. Connect your Twitter account.
3. Connect your wallet. (Use the more active ETH wallet to get more points. If you don' t have any wallet create a new walet such as Metamask.)
4. You will get points based on your past on-chain activity with DeFi protocols and NFTs on other networks.
5. Bridge some ETH, USDT, USDC or WBTC from the Ethereum mainnet to Mode to be able to secure your points. You can get these from CEX (Binance,OKX,BYBIT etc.)
6. Bridge more to earn more points relative to the time these assets remain on Mode.
7. Users who bridge within the first seven days will get a 1.2x points multiplier.
8. Refer friends to earn 16% of the points they collect during the campaign.
9. Use the ecosystem apps mentioned on the airdrop page to earn 2x points.
10. The points will be converted to MODE tokens at the token launch.

MODE SUNRISE REWARDS
Mode has allocated 550,000,000 MODE (5.5% of total supply) to this first campaign which will reward users for growing the network based on the points they earn.

• 50,000,000 additional MODE unlocked at $100M TVL
• 50,000,000 additional MODE unlocked at $200M TVL

Timeline

Phase 1 - Mode Sunrise - Now to April
You can access mode sunrise see your score and earn points by bridging to mode, inviting friends and using ecosystem apps.

Phase 2 - DeFi ecosystem and Native Yield - Feb/ march
Defi ecosystem applications and native yield launches on Mode.

Phase 3 - Token launch - April
Mode dao will launch. Points will be converted to mode tokens and distributed.
