Hello, my name is Mercury,

I am one of the smallest planets in the Solar System and my diameter is approximately 4878 km.

I took my name from Mercury, one of the Roman gods.

I am the closest planet to the sun.

My distance from the Sun is 57,909,000 kilometers.

I would love to, but I don't have a satellite.

I am known as the fastest planet in the Solar System and I rotate around myself in 116 days.

Even though I'm the closest planet to the sun, I'm not the hottest. The temperature of my surface can vary between -170 and 450°C.

Color of Mercury: I am seen as gray and brown because I am covered in craters.

VENUS:

Hello, I am Venus,

Because of the beauty of my appearance, I took my name from the beautiful Roman goddess.

I am the 2nd closest planet to the Sun in the Solar System.

My average distance from the Sun is 108,209,000 kilometers.

Even though I'm in second place, I'm the hottest planet. Because it catches the incoming rays and I get warmer and warmer.

I am the same size as the Earth and my diameter is approximately 12,104 kilometers.

I rotate around the Sun in 225 days and around my own axis in 243 days.

I have no moons and I rotate in the opposite direction to the other planets.

Color of Venus: Actually, my surface is gray and colorless, but due to the gases in my atmosphere, you can see yellow and white colors when you look from above.

WORLD:

Hello, I'm World,

Actually, you know me very well, but let me tell you about myself anyway.

I am in the 3rd place in terms of proximity to the Sun.

My diameter is 12760 kilometers.

I revolve around myself in 23 hours and 56 minutes, and around the Sun in 365 days, 5 hours and 6 minutes.

I have one satellite, its name is Moon.

The minimum and maximum known temperatures on the surface are between -88 and 60 °C.

Color of the Earth: When viewed from space, you can see blue seas, green and brown land areas, and white clouds.

MARS:

Hello friends,

As the planet Mars, I am ranked 4th in the Solar System.

I also took my name from the Roman gods.

I have two moons named Phobos and Deimos.

My distance from the Sun is 227,943,000 kilometers.

I am the second smallest planet in the Solar System and have a diameter of approximately 6,792 kilometers.

I revolve around the sun in 687 days.

Color of Mars: I have a red-like color due to the iron oxide on my surface. That's why scientists call me the Red Planet.

JUPITER:

I'm in 5th place, friends,

I took the name Jupiter from one of the gods in Roman mythology.

I am the largest planet by both volume and mass.

One day, too short for me. I finish the day in 9 hours and 55 minutes. I am the planet with the strongest gravity.

I can complete my trip around the sun in 11.9 years. Because I'm too big and I can't be as fast as the little planets.

I have 79 satellites. I don't want to bore you by listing them all one by one. I will name the most well-known ones: Europa, Ganymede, Lo and Calisto.

My average temperature is -140 ºC.

The color of Jupiter: Ice crystals and various elements on its surface create the red, brown, white and yellow colors seen from the outside.

SATURN:

I'm in 6th place and I'm a little impatient.

My distance from the sun is 1,426,666,000 kilometers.

I am the 2nd largest planet in the system and have a diameter of 120,536 kilometers. However, I am a very light planet. This is because I am composed largely of gases.

I can orbit the sun in about 30 years.

From the outside you can see my ring.

I have 62 satellites. The most known ones are; Enceladus, Titan, Rhea and Mimas.

Color of Saturn: I can appear yellow or brown thanks to gases such as hydrogen, helium, ammonia and phosphine. My rings, which look very stylish when viewed from the outside, are also in the same colors.

URANUS:

I'm in 7th place.

My distance from the Sun is 2,870,658,000 kilometers.

My diameter is 51,118 kilometers. This means that I am the 3rd largest planet in the Solar System.

I revolve around the sun in 84 years, but around myself in 11 hours.

My average temperature is 214 ºC.

I have 27 satellites. Miranda, Titania, Ariel, Oberon are the most known.

I have 13 rings on the outside.

Color of Uranus: I have a turquoise color due to the methane gas in my atmosphere.

NEPTUNE:

I'm in the 8th and last place,

I have 14 satellites. My favorites; Triton, Thalassa, Despina and Galatea.

I am the coldest planet in the Solar System.

I can turn around myself in 164.8 years. This means that one year of mine corresponds to approximately 164.8 Earth years.

There are constantly very violent storms in my atmosphere.

Color of Neptune: Like Uranus, I also have colors in shades of blue due to the gases in my atmosphere.
