Cooperation to promote blockchain education in Vietnam

On the evening of January 24, 2025, the leading stablecoin issuer USDT in the crypto market, Tether, announced a strategic partnership with Medoo, a decentralized education ecosystem in Vietnam, to join hands to build an online Blockchain Academy for users in the "S-shaped strip of land".

According to the announcement, this groundbreaking platform is built to focus on educating and training users in Vietnam about blockchain technology, peer-to-peer (p2p) systems, and the skills needed to increase their chances of success in the digital economy.

This collaboration will integrate cutting-edge courses and materials from Tether and Edumall – Medoo’s online learning platform – into the Blockchain Academy’s curriculum, covering basic knowledge to advanced applications in various fields, aiming to reach thousands of students in the first 6 months of implementation.

One of the outstanding programs is the Digital Asset Bootcamp – an intensive course piloted in collaboration with at least one major university in Vietnam – expected to give Vietnamese users an overview of blockchain applications in real life.

According to Chainalysis' September 2024 report, Vietnam is a country that has been in the top 5 countries with the highest level of cryptocurrency adoption in the world for 3 consecutive years, with profits in 2023 reaching 1.2 billion USD, reflecting the growing interest in digital assets in this country.

In addition, in October 2024, the Vietnamese Government also issued the National Strategy on Application and Development of Blockchain Technology to 2025, with a vision to 2030, which aims to establish a domestic blockchain infrastructure and make Vietnam a leading country in the region in applying blockchain technology.
