The series you all should watch: Squid Game

So, without wasting time let’s come to our topic. Today my topic is “V for Vendetta”.

Let’s Start our article:-

This movie, based on Alan Moore's novel, is skillfully directed by James McTeigue and boasts impressive cinematography. The plot revolves around a political party's use of test subjects to develop biological weapons and propagate propaganda in their bid to seize power as the chancellor of England. To achieve their goal, they destroy a laboratory, spreading a virus and then providing people with the cure. They then scapegoat three individuals as religious extremists, enabling them to establish a dictatorship in England, offering security but at the expense of freedom. One survivor, known as V, resolves to seek vengeance against these perpetrators. It's important to note that while V's acts of revenge may be portrayed as ethically and morally questionable, they drive the narrative forward.

However, his ideas and principles are undeniably just. He advocates for individual freedom and autonomy, urging people to think independently and make decisions for their own lives, rather than conforming to the dictates of the government. He famously asserted that the government should fear its citizens, not the other way around. He emphasizes that a constitution serves as a pact between the people and the government, and if the government fails to uphold its end, it must be held accountable to the people. The government's actions, such as the suppression of religion and labeling believers as extremists, are both ethically and morally reprehensible.

They impose their will upon the populace, punishing dissenters. However, every individual has the inherent right to choose their religion and live according to their own beliefs, as long as they do not infringe upon the rights of others. Thus, our protagonist takes it upon himself to eliminate those in power, ultimately seeking to restore the people's freedom.

It's a formidable challenge to resist dictators, as they employ all means of power to crush rebellion. The key question here is: How does V combat them? Why are his actions considered ethically and morally wrong?

If we were to deem his actions ethically and morally right, it would set a dangerous precedent, justifying the killing of wrongdoers and potentially destabilizing the entire social order. This is precisely why his actions are deemed morally and ethically wrong. So, how does one fight for freedom?

Firstly, it's essential to understand that achieving freedom is a long and arduous process. It begins by awakening people to the significance of their freedom and preparing them for the struggle against oppressive regimes. V utilizes education and the media to this end and seeks justice through the judiciary. This approach demands considerable effort and relies on a team of trustworthy and capable individuals.

Should these peaceful methods fail, and the government remains obstinate, then resorting to violence with popular support could be justified. However, V's approach is primarily centered on personal vengeance against the government.
What if V lacks the resources to effectively challenge the government? What if his efforts fail? In such scenarios, the justification for his actions becomes even more tenuous.

Ending Thoughts

As we hold the belief that we'll face our creator and be answerable for our actions, there's a reassurance that justice will eventually prevail. As depicted in the movie, V asserts that it's individuals who perish, not ideas, implying that future generations will inevitably carry on the fight for peace and freedom. The pursuit of freedom demands immense courage and sacrifice, which is why I contend that V's actions are morally and ethically misguided.
