DackieSwap is a decentralized exchange building on Base, and one of the handful of projects I covered in my article detailing some of the more promising projects building on Base that might qualify users for a potential airdrop. This week, DackieSwap announced that there is to be an airdrop for their token, $DACKIE, as well as a distribution of 'Quacklist' spots for their NFT drop. The snapshot for this first airdrop from DackieSwap will take place on August 3rd, at 4:00pm UTC. Rewards will be distributed once the Base mainnet goes live, which should be sometime this month.

There are two main ways to earn QuackPoints currently: by claiming Discord roles, and by participating in DackieSwap's Zealy quests. Users can also potentially earn points through tasks on other social media sites such as Twitter, or by finding a Quackcode and redeeming it on the QuackPoints page on DackieSwap's site.

DackieSwap Discord Roles

DackieSwap is utilizing Guild roles to assign roles on their Discord server. There are still a few ways late-comers to the project can qualify for a few roles:

  • Base Frens. This role is probably the easiest to snag; simply be a verified Guild member in the overall Base guild - and you can do that just by following the associated Base Twitter account on their Guild page.
  • Quack Walker. This role can be earned by claiming the last remaining ongoing NFT offer on DackieSwap's Galxe space. The steps to claim are relatively easy, but you will need a little ETH on Optimism to cover the gas fees and transactional costs to claim this one.

DackieSwap Zealy Quests

DackieSwap is hosting the usual variety of social media tasks on their Zealy quest page, including content creation, daily connect tasks, one-time page visits to certain sites, quizzes, Twitter follows and retweets, and Zealy invites. You'll need to make sure that your Discord and Twitter accounts are connected to your Zealy profile to ensure that your points will be counted on the DackieSwap site. It's also good to note that while the DackieSwap QuackPoints page says that your points will update in 15 minutes after completing a Zealy task, it can actually take quite a bit longer at times. I've had to wait between hours and days for points to update, so be sure to complete as many of these Zealy tasks as soon as you can before the snapshot on August 3rd to give them time to register.

Other Potential Airdrop Considerations for DackieSwap

While the above tasks are specifically listed as ways to earn QuackPoints for this specific airdrop, participants may want to complete other typical testnet activities to potentially boost their allocation for this - or other - airdrops that might be coming from DackieSwap specifically, or Base in general. In its current testnet mode, users can make a variety of test transactions on the DackieSwap website, including token swapping, adding liquidity, pools, and farming. Doing a variety of these type of tasks may help you qualify for this or other potential airdrops.

Summary

Have you been participating in the collection of QuackPoints for this potential - now confirmed - airdrop? Are you hoping this is a good sign for more rewards to come from Base's mainnet launch in general? I'd love to know your thoughts, and any other activities you're doing to potentially farm more airdrops on Base. Referral links are always welcome in the comments!
