The first humanitarian aid ship arrives in Gaza
The first ship carrying nearly 200 tons of food, water and necessities has docked at the Gaza Strip port, inaugurating a humanitarian maritime corridor from the Republic of Cyprus.

The ship Open Arms, a partner of WCK, departed from Larnaca port of the Republic of Cyprus on March 13 and arrived in Gaza on March 15. The second ship carrying 240 tons of aid is anchored at Larnaca port waiting for the departure signal. WCK said the new shipment included canned foods and clothing.
In addition, the second train carried two forklifts and a crane to support the transport of goods to Gaza in the near future. Eight workers operating machinery and unloading aid will also follow the group to Gaza.
The first ship marked the initial success of the new maritime corridor that WCK and the Open Arms charity organization of Spain, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the Republic of Cyprus opened, in an effort to aid humanitarian assistance to the people of the Gaza Strip.
