Oasis Network (ROSE) is a decentralized Layer-1 blockchain network designed to be a scalable, privacy-focused and versatile alternative to Ethereum (ETH). Built using the Cosmos SDK, Oasis Network uses the Proof-of-Stake (PoS) model as its consensus mechanism. The Oasis Network (Rose) protocol, which aims to be open-coded, also aims to create a scalable data economy based on privacy. The Oasis Network (Rose) protocol aims to combine open funding and confidential transaction structures. The system structure of Oasis Network, which aims to take advantage of the possibilities of decentralized structure, consists of two layers: Consensus and ParaTime. The two different layers help the Oasis Network (Rose) protocol to be used in different ways.


Oasis Network (Rose) is one of the cryptocurrencies that has its own network. Despite having its own network, Oasis Network (Rose) runs faster and more cost-efficiently on the Ethereum (ETH) network. The Oasis Network protocol, which aims to solve many problems, aims to solve issues such as high fees and data breaches that disturb users as disadvantages in decentralized finance structures. In line with all these goals, Oasis Network (Rose) has global participants in different areas on the network. Among the features of the Oasis Network, the collaborative working principle is one of the prominent features. Finally, the Oasis Network protocol supports decentralized applications, namely DApps.
Oasis also supports secret ParaTimes, which can be used to create secret smart contracts. In a secret ParaTime, nodes need to use a Trusted Execution Environment (TEE), which acts as a secure zone for the execution of the smart contract.

Founder of Oasis Network

Dawn Song is the founder of Oasis Network. She holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University and a PhD from Berkeley University of California. She was a professor at Carnegie Mellon University from 2002-2007 and at Berkeley University of California since 2007. In 2018, Dawn Song founded Oasis Labs and is still at the helm of the project.

Comparison

ROSE TOKEN

Rose Token is the local token used on the Oasis Network. When users of the network make transactions, they do so at the Consensus layer. The commission fee for transactions is paid in ROSE. ROSE is also used in staking and delegation transactions.
