molar class 2 composite filling

I will talk about my first patient. I am a 4th grade dentistry student in Turkey İstanbul. This year ı become an intern and last week ı treated my first patient. As seen in the first picture distal to the molar tooth (36no) there is an ICDAS level 4 decay. First ı applied incisional anesthesia then ı started removing decay with my bur. When infectid dentin exposed ı cleaned the sole with a curette. In order to adapt the filling to the tooth more easily ı etched the tooth for 30 seconds. Then ı cleaned the surface with water for another 30 seconds. Then ı started putting composite piece by piece. I radiated the composite in each piece to harden it. In the last pieces ı started to give the filling an occlusal shape for more realistic image. When its done ı polished the tooth and informed the patient. You can see the final stage in second photo.
