One of the great FA Cup ties, one of the greatest Old Trafford comebacks – and all against their greatest rivals, Liverpool.

From an outstanding start to an irresistible finish, United produced their best when they needed it.
The FA Cup is still a possibility for United, who are also chasing fourth spot in the Premier League.
Liverpool are still chasing the title itself and the Europa League, having already bagged the League Cup, but there will be no Wembley farewell for manager Jurgen Klopp.
Amad Diallo, a rising star on loan at Sunderland in the championship last season, scored the winning goal with what was the most dramatic finish imaginable to an incredible game.
There is a big T20 game to come on Monday as we bring you the final of the Pakistan Super League between Multan Sultans and Islamabad United, so do please join us for that if you can.

● Manchester United have eliminated Liverpool from the FA Cup for the 11th time; only Liverpool have eliminated a single opponent more times in the competition proper (12 v Everton).
● Man Utd’s Amad Diallo scored the latest winning goal in any match in the FA Cup proper (120:07) since West Ham v Kidderminster Harriers in February 2022 (120:48), and latest against Liverpool in the competition since February 2016 (West Ham, 120:30).
● Mohamed Salah has scored 13 goals in 14 appearances against Manchester United for Liverpool, including eight in his last five at Old Trafford. Indeed, no player has scored more goals against a current Premier League club since Salah joined the Reds than this (Harry Kane also 13 v Everton).

● This was the first time that Manchester United conceded three goals in an FA Cup home game since their 1963-64 quarter-final against Sunderland (3-3 draw). Indeed, it was also the first time that Manchester United and Liverpool both scored 3+ goals in a match against one another since January 1994 (3-3 in the Premier League).
● Liverpool have had 23 goals scored by substitutes in all competitions this season (excl. own goals), the most of any side across Europe’s big-five leagues in 2023-24.

But once again 12-times FA Cup winners United -- who are four places below Liverpool in a Premier League season to forget for Ten Hag's side -- kept their foot on the gas.
Rashford, who had missed a sitter late in normal time, made it 3-3 in the 112th minute, calmly slotting a picture-perfect pass from McTominay into the bottom corner before running to United's fans, where he was mobbed.
Then Alejandro Garnacho and Diallo charged up the field on a breakaway after a Liverpool corner, with Diallo firing home the winner in the 120th minute to a deafening roar from the Old Trafford faithful, leaving Klopp looking stunned on the sideline.
Diallo was then sent off after receiving a second yellow card for his celebrations.
