Champions League season has been one for the history books, filled with dramatic comebacks, unexpected twists, and standout individual performances. As Borussia Dortmund and Real Madrid prepare to lock horns in the final at Wembley Stadium, let's revisit some of the most unforgettable moments that shaped the course of the competition.

Group Stage Battles

The group stage set the tone for an enthralling season, with several groups witnessing intense battles for qualification. In Group F, Borussia Dortmund emerged as the unlikely winners, in a group consisting of Kylian Mbappe's PSG, AC Milan and Newscastle, displaying their attacking prowess against a resurgent PSG side led by coach Luis Enrique and a young but determined AC Milan side.

Meanwhile, Group C was a walk over for Real Madrid as they won all their Group stage matches almost comfortably coming out with 18/18 points. Real Madrid, boasting a squad brimming with both experience and young talent found no hard time beating their opponents which consisted of Napoli, Union Berlin and SC Braga. Key goals from wonderkid Jude Bellingham. proved decisive as Los Blancos secured top spot before final group stage matchday.

Knockout Round Rollercoaster

The knockout rounds brought the drama to a whole new level. In the round of 16, Borussia Dortmund's passionate fans were treated to a nail-biting encounter against PSV, winning with a slim margin after drawing the first leg, Dortmund produced a remarkable comeback at home, with Jadon Sancho orchestrating the attack.

Another epic encounter unfolded in the quarter-finals, with arguably the two best teams in European football, Manchester City and Real Madrid pushing each other to their limits, finally settling the tie with a penalty shoot-out thanks to subliminal penalties from both Bernardo Silva and Mateo Kovacic and an amazing performance from once Third choice goalkeeper Andriy Lunin.

Semi-Final Spannung

The semi-finals delivered yet another dose of Spannung (tension) as both Dortmund and Real Madrid faced off against in-form opponents. Paris Saint-Germain, under the guidance of Luis Enrique, didn't surpris many with their tactical nous and amazing attacking lineup. However, it was a moment of brilliance and team effort from Dortmund that ultimately separated the two sides, with PSG failing to score a goal across both legs.

Real Madrid's semi-final clash against Bayern Munich was a tactical masterclass from Carlo Ancelotti's men though they still needed a momentof miracle from an unlikely player Joselu win the tie, after Alphonso Davies scored a winger-like "cut-and-shoot close the end of the game, all hope seemed to be lost. However, Joselu who was signed this summer to cover up for striker Karim Benzema came in and reacted first to the drop ball when Manuel Neuer lost focus and failed to hold on to Vini's shot, then scoring another few minutes later to carry Real Madrid to Wembley where they'll be hoping to carry their 15th title.
