Good Afternoon Bulb Family!

Greetings, everyone!

Introduction

Hello, my beautiful family. I hope your days are going well. I apologize once again for missing many of your wonderful posts. The reason was a lack of internet, which I explained in my last post. It was a different experience that reminded me of my school days before the internet was as accessible as it is now.

After sharing my thoughts, you all suggested some beautiful ways of life, for which I am very grateful. I have chosen today's topic: reminiscing about those days we have left behind. So, allow your host, Jawad, to take you on a journey back in time. Who wants to join me in this time-traveling adventure?

Now, I think it's time to delve into today's topic. But before I begin, if you haven't checked out my previous articles, I encourage you to do so.

My Split Personality.

Reminiscing the Days Before the Internet

The best days of our lives are behind our present busy ones. Our parents can relate to this more because they experienced childhood and adulthood without the internet. The 90's kids have a vast experience of this transition. They witnessed the rise of the telecommunication industry, from big cellular phones to the slim smartphones we use today. But today, I want to talk about the days when we lived without the internet. From dawn to dusk, we enjoyed more freedom and fewer worries. There was no social media, no web searches, or emails. Let's talk about it.

Happy Mornings Without the Internet

Remember those days when we had no internet, but it didn't bother us? We woke up, grabbed our toothbrushes, and ran out of our rooms. I don’t know about others, but I often brushed my teeth while sitting on a tree branch as a child. Some of us woke up early to prepare our lessons and then got ready for school. Remember taking baths in the pond? Those days were awesome.

Unlimited Playing Options

The new generation is busy playing online games on smartphones, computers, and tablets, with an internet connection being a must. But for us, no internet was needed. We played with marbles, football, and cricket. We were so engrossed in our games that our parents would get angry because we didn't return home on time. We had many options. Playing hide and seek on a moonlit night was an amazing way to have fun, and even our elders participated.

Visiting Cousins' Houses

There was a time when we visited our cousins and relatives who lived far away. Nowadays, the internet has made connecting with a click easy, but it was beautiful back then when we visited them in person. You have to agree that social bonds were far stronger than they are now. Those days were gems for me. I visited my relatives, and they welcomed me warmly.

Plenty of Time for Hobbies

I love gardening and having pets. I have a large aquarium, which I will tell you about later. I still have this passion because I had plenty of time for my hobbies back then. We were blessed. Now, people are busy making videos for different social accounts, which has become their hobby. What can I say? I know you will agree because deep inside, you know the truth.

Spending More Time with Family

We had plenty of time to spend with our families. Now, we are busy. We have to keep up with the trends of a changing world. We have to attend office on time and work on our projects and future. We focus so much on our dreams and desires that we have less time for our families. This isn’t right. A day without the internet made me realize this. I am lucky to have more time to spend with my mother, but others aren’t as fortunate. This is an alarming situation.

Ending Thoughts

We all remember those days. There is much more we could discuss, but are we learning any lessons from it? A day without the internet can show us how different our lives are now! We are in a race, with vast opportunities and modern technologies, but at what cost? Ask yourself, dear friends.

Until we meet again, stay curious, stay connected, and above all, stay true to yourself.
