While each of those is crucial to the success of your business (or job) and your ability to earn money, there is one that you definitely haven't thought about: your partner.
People who have reasonably responsible and dependable partners typically do better at work, obtain more promotions, make more money, and feel more content with their careers, according to Washington University in St. Louis researchers.
Both men and women experienced this: "Partner conscientiousness" predicted future work happiness, earnings, and the likelihood of promotion (even after accounting for participant conscientiousness).
I am aware that is accurate in my family. The most organized person I know is my mother.
She manages a family, several occupations, and a variety of interests; she is a goal-setter.
Her "conscientiousness" used to irritate me until I realized the only thing that bothered me about it was how implicitly it questioned my innate sloth.
I've come to the conclusion that the greatest way to do more is to really do more, and she unquestionably aids in this process. Me and my father uniquely supports her in other means by getting groceries and in household chores.
Today's she's an entrepreneur and great mother an inspiration to me as always.
Remember, I'm not advising you to base your decision on your significant other only on qualities like diligence and wisdom.
"Marrying a conscientious partner could at first sound like a prescription for a rigid and uninteresting lifestyle," the researchers write.
I also don't advocate breaking up with your partner if you think they are deficient in such qualities.
However, it does seem that one of the keys to a better and more fulfilling profession is having a diligent and responsible spouse.
Think about what you can do to be more supportive of your significant other rather than expecting them to change.
It's possible that you may take on financial management, more housework, repairs, upkeep, or schedules.
After all, the greatest way to lead is by example, and with time, you and your significant other might discover that you two make an excellent and mutually supporting team.
