Lookman is pleased with his first goal at home

Ademola Lookman of the Super Eagles scored the game-winning goal for Atalanta in their 1-0 home victory over Fiorentina on Sunday in a Serie A encounter.

After scoring his first goal at home, the 24-year-old forward was thrilled.

"It was a stunning victory, a fantastic performance, and we had faith in it all the way through. I'm excited to score my first goal in front of our supporters; I've been waiting a long time for it.

“I just want to see from match to match where we can go, I haven’t set myself any goals, I want to get as far as possible with Atalanta.”

Thanks to Lookman's goal in the 59th minute, Atalanta eventually prevailed in a tense match and maintained pressure on Napoli at the top of the Serie A standings.

With six victories and two draws in their first eight games, Atalanta now has 20 points and is tied for first place in Serie A with Napoli.

The 24-year-old Lookman signed a four-year contract with Atalanta in August after leaving RB Leipzig in a move estimated to be worth €9 million.
