Despite best efforts, some bad actors will inevitably slip through. To combat this, Bulb should implement sophisticated algorithms to track posting behavior. These algorithms can identify spam-like activities such as repeated content, repetitive images, high posting frequency, generic usernames, and suspicious accounts. When flagged, these posts should be reviewed by certified moderators—experienced and recognized members of the Bulb community.

AI can play a bigger role in filtering out these bad actors and then pass the task to human certified moderators to finish the job more effectively and efficiently.


This ensures a fair and thorough evaluation process, rather than relying on members who might report posts merely to meet moderator requirements. The penalty for flagged posts should be imposed only after the appeal process, not before. Additionally, the recently introduced 500 Bulb token fee for submitting an appeal is counterproductive. It discourages users from defending their rights, creating an imbalance that favors moderators. Removing this fee would ensure a fairer system.

Special Training for Moderators


Another effective strategy for maintaining fairness is providing specialized training for moderators. Regular online classes and bulletins can educate moderators on distinguishing good actors from bad ones. Due to anonymity and time zone challenges, Zoom sessions might not be feasible, but monthly or quarterly training bulletins can serve this purpose.

These bulletins could include scenarios that require moderators to decide between multiple-choice or yes/no answers. A reward system for top-performing moderators, possibly in the form of tokens, could motivate thorough learning. This initiative could also introduce a moderator leaderboard, updated every three months, to recognize and incentivize excellence in moderation.
