Good morning/ evening

Now we have probably all heard the saying that time is money, but can you really tokenize your time and if you did would someone actually pay to talk to you? (My husband would probably pay to stop me talking sometimes but hey ho.) I get pump.fun to a certain extent although it is, IMO going a bit far now and should be capped to a certain amount of shitcoins per month but that brings me to Time.fun.

Who are the founders?

Now this looks like a sensible group of people.

From Base to Solana

Time.fun was initially introduced on the Ethereum Layer 2 network Base in 2024 where it recorded over $2 million in trading volume, so some people must think it is a great idea, but despite its apparent success, the platform's leadership identified key limitations with Base, particularly concerning the redemption process for time based transactions. Users had to redeem their purchased time for calls outside of the platform, which led to tracking difficulties and a less streamlined user experience.
Founder Kawz explained that Solana’s superior scalability and efficiency better align with Time.fun’s long-term growth plans. The transition to Solana has enabled Time.fun to integrate communication directly into its platform, allowing for refunds if users do not redeem their purchased time, enhancing both convenience and user trust.
Time.fun originally launched as Circle.tech and received early support from the Crypto Accelerator Alliance in April.

They rebranded as the name circle was too similar to the issuer of USDC and I guess that the popularity of pump.fun also had something to do with it. The platform has a joint curve pricing model, ensuring fair value for time while also incentivizing creators through a portion of transaction fees. I guess the more popular you are the more you earn!

Time.fun is providing a marketplace where users can buy and sell time slots with your favorite influencers, creators, and public figures. The purchased time can be redeemed for one-on-one conversations. (sounds like friend.tech to me and I did not like that either!) but if that is your thing you can now pay to have a chat with your favorite person. They are also looking at adding new features like voice and video calling and are having discussions about issuing a native token.

I have to add that I love using Solana, their DeFi products and DEX's are easy and simple to use, I like not paying a fortune in gas fees and I also like quick transactions, sometimes waiting 20 minutes for a transaction to go through feels like an eternity but I also have to admit that because of all Solanas good points a lot of apps are built on Solana which can sometimes tarnish it's reputation. (Some people think it is just memes and rug pulls) where as there are some really good things built on Solana.

Perhaps I am just being grumpy as I am getting over a touch of flu, but what are your thoughts? Is there some celebrity or influencer you would pay to talk to? Perhaps you would like to sell your time. Could this be the next big thing? I personally don't think so but hey who knows, this is crypto after all.

As always thank you for reading and please feel free to comment as I would love to hear other thoughts on this.
