Lucas Black, born on November 29, 1982, is an American actor recognized for various roles in film and television. His most prominent role is that of Sean Boswell in The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift , a character he reprised in Furious 7 and F9 . In addition to his work in the Fast and Furious franchise, Black portrayed Caleb Temple in the CBS television series American Gothic and Special Agent Christopher LaSalle on CBS's NCIS: New Orleans .

At the age of 11, Lucas Black made his film debut in Kevin Costner's production, The War.Following this, he secured the role of Caleb Temple in CBS's television series American Gothic, which aired from 1995 to 1996. During this period, Black also appeared in notable films such as Sling Blade, Ghosts of Mississippi, and The X-Files. Additionally, he starred as Conner Strong in the TV film Flash (1997), featured on The Wonderful World of Disney, where his character visits a horse daily in the hopes of purchasing it.

Black continued his career with roles such as Buddy in the indie drama Get Low , directed by Aaron Schneider; Jeep Hanson in the Bible-themed fantasy thriller Legion ; and Luke Chisholm, a talented young golfer, in the indie golfing film Seven Days in Utopia .
He portrayed the Brooklyn Dodgers shortstop Pee Wee Reese in the drama film 42 . Black, with a background in sports, found the filming experience "a lot more enjoyable because you get to reminisce about the days when I used to play, and then you get the experience of being on a team again with the actors and have that camaraderie with the players".
In 2014, Lucas was cast in NCIS: New Orleans as NCIS Special Agent LaSalle, characterized by a work hard, play hard motto.
Returning to the Fast & Furious franchise, Black reprised his role as Sean Boswell in a cameo appearance in Furious 7 . However, he did not appear in the eighth installment, The Fate of the Furious, explaining in July 2016 on The Chris Mannix Show that he could not return due to his schedule with NCIS: New Orleans.
In November 2019, Black departed from the series NCIS: New Orleans to dedicate more time to his family.He once again returned to the Fast & Furious franchise, reprising his role as Sean in F9 in 2021.
Lucas Black married Maggie O'Brien, a lawyer, in 2010. Together, they have three children. Black identifies as a Christian.Following his departure from NCIS: New Orleans in 2019, he started uploading videos to his YouTube channel in January 2020, titled "Real Life Lucas Black." The channel focuses on his experiences with fishing and hunting.
