WhatsApp introduces 'undo' feature for 'Delete from me' option
WhatsApp has added an undo feature to the 'Delete from me' option that allows users to delete copies of messages they have sent or received. When you delete a message with the “Delete from me” option, WhatsApp will display the “Undo” option for 5 seconds, and if you do not click on the text, the message will be deleted only from you.
WhatsApp, the world's most used instant messaging application, has started to offer a second chance for the option that many users accidentally chose.
WHATSAPP “DELETE FROM ME” OPTION CAN BE UNDONE
With the newly announced “undo feature” of WhatsApp, owned by Meta, users will be able to retrieve accidentally deleted messages using the 'Delete From Me' option.
HOW TO USE WHATSAPP “DELETE FROM ME” AND UNDELETE OPTION?
You can delete your copies of messages you have sent or received on your phone. Deleting messages from yourself does not affect your recipients' chats in any way. They will continue to see your deleted messages on their chat screens.
Now when you select “Delete from me”, you can undo this action by clicking Undo within 5 seconds before the message is permanently deleted.
- Open WhatsApp and go to the chat with the message you want to delete.
- Click the menu icon in your chat message.
- Click Delete message > Delete from me.
WHATSAPP ALSO ANNOUNCES NEW FEATURE

The chat lock feature is being extended to connected devices. In addition, WhatsApp users will soon be able to tag their contacts in status updates.
Notably, WhatsApp users can log in to the same account by connecting multiple devices together, but some features like status updates, chat lock, etc. are not available on secondary devices.
