Fear Of Data structure: Programming.
Good Afternoon Bulb Peeps!
Greetings, everyone!
Introduction
These days, I'm feeling much more focused, especially on one of my courses that I mentioned in my recent articles. A few days ago, I received a repeated course, which happens to be the core subject of my certification and is also one of the most challenging subjects.
The course is called "Data Structures," focusing on programming, particularly the backend aspects.

Now, I think it's time to delve into today's topic. But before I begin, if you haven't checked out my previous articles, I encourage you to do so.

Experience on the First Day of Class
Allow me to recount my experience from the beginning of the course. On the first day, I arrived late due to a specific explanation and found that the front and center seats were already occupied. Consequently, I settled for a seat at the back. The initial lecture wasn't particularly informative as it served as an introduction to the course. Despite already being familiar with the instructor from a previous course, I introduced myself to the class. Ironically, I ended up being the most experienced student as I was repeating the course. This led to questions from my classmates about why I was retaking the course and what led to me receiving an F grade previously. I explained my reasons, and thus our introductions concluded smoothly.
Reflection on Subsequent Class

In the subsequent class, three days later, our instructor advised us to review concepts from the previous semester to facilitate understanding new ideas. However, as you all know, I tend to be quite lazy, which I regret every time. Once again, I was late for class and ended up sitting at the back against the wall. Realizing I didn't have any friends in this class and everyone was already in groups or pairs, I felt isolated. Feeling anxious, I resorted to biting my nails, a habit I fall back on when nervous, especially considering the lack of assistance to pass the subject. Lost in my thoughts, I didn't realize I was being noticed until the teacher called me out for biting my nails, causing the entire class to laugh at my expense. I felt deeply embarrassed, especially with girls nearby also joining in the laughter. Despite the instructor introducing key concepts, I was too preoccupied with my embarrassment to focus on the class that day. The third class was canceled due to the instructor's absence.
Challenges Faced in Fourth Class
Today marked my fourth class, and predictably, I was once again late, finding myself in the back rows yet again. After the instructor took attendance, she began calling students one by one to recap the previous lecture and assign homework, which she randomly checked. Feeling apprehensive because I hadn't remembered the previous lecture and hadn't completed my homework, I dreaded the possibility of facing punishment or embarrassment, especially in front of the girls in the class. The teacher called students to the front to explain concepts from the previous lecture to the entire class, and those who couldn't were chastised in a rather harsh manner by our instructor. Can you imagine the situation I found myself in?
Conclusion and Future Preparedness
I found myself hiding under the table, and to my relief, the instructor called the students seated next to me on both sides to the front to explain concepts from the previous lecture. Thankfully, she didn't ask me any questions, and I silently thanked the Almighty for preserving my dignity. As the instructor moved on to a new topic for today's class, I felt a wave of relaxation wash over me and began paying close attention to the lecture. Today, I made a conscious effort to absorb everything she taught us, knowing that she would quiz us on it in the next class. I am now fully prepared for the upcoming class in two days. I share this experience to alleviate the weight of my stress, as I currently lack friends in this class, making it particularly challenging for me to pass this subject again.
Ending Thoughts
Until we meet again, stay curious, stay connected, and above all, stay true to yourself.
