📣 Vitalik Buterin Proposes Replacing EVM Bytecode With RISC-V Architecture

Vitalik Buterin has proposed a long-term plan to replace Ethereum’s EVM bytecode with the open RISC-V architecture to enhance execution-layer scalability.

Posting on the Ethereum Magicians forum, he suggested that the shift would significantly boost performance while maintaining compatibility.

To support the transition, Buterin proposed building an interpreter that converts EVM contracts into RISC-V format.
