It looks like California’s Department of Motor Vehicles will implement a blockchain to prevent vehicle title fraud. As a general fan of blockchains for attestable record keeping, I think it is a good direction. 

As strong as the inherent security benefits are, a lot depends on the implementation. Ultimately, blockchains will still require cyber protection and oversight.
