Ursula Corbero Delgado, born on August 11, 1989, is a Spanish actress who has garnered recognition both in Spain and internationally. She first gained prominence in her home country for her portrayal of Ruth Gomez in the teen drama series Fisica o Quimica from 2008 to 2010. Her performance in this series helped establish her as a rising talent in the Spanish entertainment industry.
Corbero continued to build her acting career with notable roles such as Margarita de Austria in the historical fiction series Isabel in 2014, showcasing her versatility across different genres. In 2015, she appeared in the comedy film Girls Night Out, where she played the character Marta.
However, it was her role as Tokyo in the internationally acclaimed crime drama series Money Heist also known as La Casa de Papel that propelled her to global fame. Her portrayal of the bold and charismatic character contributed significantly to the show's popularity worldwide. Corberos performance in Money Heist earned her widespread praise and garnered a dedicated fan base around the globe.

She made her debut as Maria in the TV show Mirall Trencat back in 2002. Then, she took on the role of Sara in Ventdelpla between 2005 and 2006, and featured in Cuenta atras in 2007. Following that, she portrayed Manuela Portillo in the series El Internado in 2008 and joined the cast of the Antena 3 series Fisica o quimica until 2010. During her time on Fisica o quimica, she played the character Ruth Gomez, who struggled with bulimia. Although the series sparked controversy, Corbero received praise for her performance.
After leaving Fisica o química, she secured a leading role in Televisión Espanola's drama series 14 de abril. La Republica. However, the second season of the show faced delays and didn't air until November 2018 due to political conflicts with the People's Party. In the same year, she appeared in the horror film XP3D alongside her Física o química co-star and friend Maxi Iglesias. Despite extensive promotion, the film failed to impress critics.
In 2012, she filmed the television movie Los dias de gloria, which was postponed due to political conflicts and eventually aired in July 2013. Following that, she joined the cast of the third season of La 1 series Gran Reserva as Julia Cortazar. Additionally, she worked on the Catalan TV movie Volare directed by Joaquín Oristrell. She also appeared in the horror film Afterparty, which failed to win over both critics and audiences. Towards the end of the year, she traveled to Colombia to film Crimen con vista al Mar with Carmelo Gómez.
The year 2013 saw her starring in the comedy Quien mato a Bambi alongside actors Clara Lago and Quim Gutierrez, a film that was well-received. She also lent her voice to Sam in Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2.
She played Margarita de Austria in the successful historical series Isabel. That same year, she made history by becoming the first actress to receive the Untameable Award at the Sitges Film Festival, recognizing her outstanding career. She was also named Woman of the Year by Men's Health magazine, presented with the award by her friend, legendary actress Rossy de Palma.
Corberó traveled to Trento to film La Dama Velata, a Spanish Italian coproduction starring Miriam Leone, Andrea Bosca, and Aura Garrido. Later in the year, she portrayed Natalia de Figueroa y Martorell in the Spanish sitcom Anclados alongside actress Rossy de Palma.
In March 2015, she starred as Nadia in Perdiendo el Norte alongside Blanca Suarez and Yon Gonzalez. That same year, she was honored with the Ciudad de Alicante Award, recognizing Spanish young talents. In December 2015, she landed a leading role in the new thriller series La Embajada, written by the creators of Gran Hotel. The series was showcased at Cannes during the MIPTV and acquired by the American network UniMás.
She also landed her first main role in a movie in Como sobrevivir a una despedida and confirmed she's one of the best comical actresses of Spain. The film was presented at the Málaga Film Festival in the official competition and was nominated for Best Picture.
She reprised her role of Margarita de Austria in the movie La corona partida. The film is a continuation of the series Isabel and Carlos, rey emperador. The same year, she repeated the dubbing experience by lending her voice to Katie in The Secret Life of Pets.
Later that year, she was given her first main dramatic role in cinema by Julio Medem. The Tree of Blood is a thriller and Corberó is Rebecca, a mysterious woman who, along with her husband, discover secrets from her family. The actress was also directed by Isabel Coixet for the movie Proyecto Tiempo: La Llave. The film debuted at the San Sebastian Film Festival. She is given her first English-speaking role in the American crime-drama series Snatch. She stars alongside actors Rupert Grint and Luke Pasqualino.
Corbero was announced as playing G.I. Joe villain the Baroness in Snake Eyes, a spin-off from the G.I. Joe franchise. The film, directed by Robert Schwentke and starring actors Henry Golding, Andrew Koji and Samara Weaving, was released on 23 July 2021 in Dolby Cinema and IMAX. It was made available to stream on Paramount+ 45 days after its theatrical debut.
