In one of my previous articles, I wrote about how we can identify when we are stressed. Here are some ways you can manage stress:

  • Maintain a healthy diet. To reduce stress, it is critical to develop healthy eating habits. Diet has a strong relationship with stress and mental health.
  • Daily exercise is recommended. Physical activity is necessary for maintaining a healthy body. It also aids in the maintenance of stress levels. The World Health Organization (WHO) recommends that adults engage in 75-150 minutes of physical activity per week.
  • Get a restful night's sleep. It is difficult for the body to have healthy immune responses without adequate rest. It is recommended that you get between 7 and 8 hours of sleep per night. Consider making changes to your nightly routine, such as keeping a sleep journal, limiting screen time before bedtime, sleeping in a dark room, and not eating for several hours before bed.
  • Make time to unwind. Leisure time is essential, but it can be difficult to find time to sit back and relax during a hectic day. It may appear impossible to take a break, especially during a busy day, but it is up to you to make it happen. Even if it's just a few minutes of deep breathing, you must regard leisure time as a task to be completed. Try some stress-relieving mindfulness exercises.
