About last year. The month of November 2022. In the first week, I went to a fair in Newtown, Kolkata with my family. The fair is near our community admin Swagat's house in Laketown. He invited us to meet. Winter is just beginning. There is a feeling of winter in the air. Some time before evening, I, Tanuja, Tintin, my brother and Swagat appeared at the Laketown Fair premises.

We stood near the stage at the beginning and enjoyed some music and dance performances for quite some time. Then the play started. After watching the play for a while, Tintin started to feel bored. Forced, we moved towards the lined shops of the fair.

I saw a lot of shops. A huge fair lined with charm shops, apparel shops, book shops, saree shops, jewelery shops, furniture shops, home decor shops, kitchenware shops, daily necessities shops, bedding shops, electronics shops. in the premises Daily trading is going on above crores of rupees.

If you want to visit the whole fair, you will need 5-6 hours of time. It wasn't. I can only spend two hours at the fair. So we started walking fast. Many food stalls also came to the fair. I don't eat out. Despite this, Khelum Veg Momo fell in their ranks. felt awkward After eating, I rode Tintin on the "merry go round" for a while and started walking again. There were lots of children's rides in the fair. In addition, there was a big upheaval.

After that I spent quite some time walking around the clothes shop. At one place, Tanuja bought some imitation jewellery. Then we went to a big chip shop. I bought some fish chips. I also bought some veggie chips. These are raw chips. I have to go home and eat. From there I went to a saree shop. I like a heavy saree. But, hearing the price, the eyes raised. No one keeps that much money. The shopkeeper assured us - payment can be made by card. Anyway, the saree was bought. I have shared the picture of that saree below. I did not say the price. No one will believe it.

After that we went around and bought some toys and books for Tintin. At one place in the fair, I saw beautiful burnt clay crockery being sold. I bought a tee set from there. Six cups, a tea-pot and another tray. The price of this set is only 1400 Tk. I have to say that I got it very cheaply. The items are of high quality.

After that shopping and wandering continued. We walked for three hours. After that, I left the fair after 8:30 pm. We all enjoyed a great winter evening together.
