Hacking
What is Hacking?
Hacking is the attempt to hack digital devices such as computers, cellphones, tablets, and even entire networks. While hacking is not always for evil motives, most allusions to hacking and hackers nowadays depict it/as illegal action by cybercriminals—motivated by financial gain, protest, information gathering (spying), or even just for the "joy" of the task.
Types of Hacking/Hackers?
There is illicit financial gain, which includes credit card number theft or scamming banking systems.
Next, some hackers are motivated by acquiring street cred and improving their status within the hacker community by leaving their mark on websites they vandalize as proof that they carried out the attack.
Then there's corporate espionage, which occurs when one company's hackers attempt to steal information about a competitor's products and services in order to acquire a competitive advantage in the marketplace.
