Storm Warfare- Gameplay Preview
Storm Warfare, developed by Janus Interactive, a free-to-start and free-to-play Web3 Trading Card Game, invites you to build your deck, collect cards, take ownership, exert control, and engage in in-game asset trading as you relive the legendary battles of World War II.
Your mission is clear: Reduce the enemy Commander’s health to zero before they do the same to you.

Highlights:

Storm Warfare’s launch is scheduled for January 2024 on Mac, Windows, Steam, and Epic.
The mobile version is prepared for launch in Q2 2024.
Storm Warfare has secured over $2 million from pre-seed (token) and studio (equity) funding.

Seedify supported Storm Warfare in organizing its Open Beta Tournament, which achieved significant success. The event witnessed participation in 220,000 matches, accumulating 26,000 hours of gameplay and attracting over 14,000 unique players.

Turn-Based Tactics: The Gameplay
Each player strategically deploys cards, utilizes abilities, and commands units to engage in intense battles.
The battleground comes to life on the interactive battle board, featuring 70 historically accurate and 3D-animated WWII battle boards.
The Essence of Warfare: The Cards
Storm Warfare revolves around a core element — cards. Each card signifies an action that can shape the course of the game, whether it’s attacking, defending, or supporting your units.
These cards are characterized by specific variables:

Attacking Points: Indicating the amount of damage a card inflicts on an enemy card.
Defence Points: Reflecting the health of a card, reaching zero results in the card’s destruction.
Factions: The national flag represents the faction to which the card belongs.
Command Points: These resources are utilized by players to play cards and activate Commander abilities.
Unit Type: Denoting the class of a card, such as Infantry or Tanks.
Card Info: Explaining the card’s abilities and features.
Level & Rarity: Signifying the card’s level, with four levels available for each unit card. Rarity serves as a general measure of a card’s quality and scarcity.

There are over 400 tradeable WWII concept cards meticulously designed by world-renowned artists.
Choose Your Allegiance:
In the Closed Beta phase, you can align yourself with Germany, the United States, or the British Empire. Each playable faction boasts a unique set of cards, features, and tactics, reflecting their historical context and strengths.
Strategize with Your War Chest: The Deck
Assemble your war chest by curating a deck of 30 cards before each match. Located on the right side of the battle board, your deck serves as the platform from which you draw cards, shaping the unfolding strategies of the game.
Command Your Destiny: Meet the Commander

Storm Warfare is played through a commander acting as the player’s battlefield avatar. Each player becomes a specific “Commander” linked to a class that determines their unique cards and special powers.
Starting the game with 30 health points, the player loses if a Commander’s health reaches zero.
Players can own as many Commanders as they want from different factions, allowing for diverse strategies. For example, a player leading a tank-based set of decks might choose a tank Commander to improve their strategy for tank-focused battles.
As you advance in the game, your Commander evolves depending on match outcomes, acquiring medals, distinctive features, facial scars, and ageing details.

İlhan, with a degree in Visual Communication Design, has over 20 years of experience in the creative industry. He manages various aspects and explores new approaches to storytelling at the intersection of technology, design, and art. Currently, he is involved in establishing a DAO focused on the convergence of Blockchain technologies and the creative industries.

With over 20 years of experience across different facets of the gaming industry, Ali has contributed to the design of the esteemed AAA medieval sandbox game “Mount and Blade 2: Bannerlord.”

Cem, who holds a degree in mathematics and has extensive coding experience, has been an enthusiastic strategy and card gamer for over a decade. Accumulating design expertise from five gaming projects, he blends this knowledge with over 20 years of software development experience. Currently, his main focus revolves around the design and development of mobile games.
