Terra’s Official Retail-facing Documentation Abolished
QUICK TAKE:
Terra’s official retail-facing documentation removes all mentions of stablecoins or UST
Previously, the documentation promised 1 UST could always be burned to get $1 of LUNA
The implosion of Terra has reverberated throughout the crypto sphere. FatMan from the Terra Research Forum informed the community that all mentions of stablecoins or UST have been removed from Terra’s official retail-facing documentation. Previously, Terra promised that 1 UST could always be burned to get $1 of LUNA, which has been removed from their documentation.
Terra/LUNA’s value was built on the burnt/mint mechanism, and surprisingly Terra switched it off arbitrarily, alleging governance problems. The governance problem it stated could have been addressed by just deactivating staking rather than Terra’s principal economic mechanism. This goes against one of the main promises they made.
People are confused if they burn UST now then what will happen to LUNA. Some people also blamed that it constitutes fraud. paletas.ust
