Cryptocurrency traders are discussing BTC sent to Satoshi Nakamoto's wallet. At 10:00 p.m. last night, a person sent 26.91 BTC, worth approximately $1.2 million, to Satoshi Nakamoto's wallet after purchasing it on the Binance exchange. It remains unclear whether this was a mistake or a donation from an altruist. It is also not yet known who the sender is.

The wallet in question is the one that received the 50 BTC reward for the first Bitcoin block issued in 2009. The wallet, known to have been created by Satoshi Nakamoto, the inventor of Bitcoin, has collected a large amount of donations over the years. Bitcoin investors have sent Nakamoto donations, sometimes small and sometimes, like yesterday, large amounts to thank him. The wallet was also used as a burn address by those who wanted to burn their Bitcoins since it has not been active since then. The amount accumulated in the wallet is about 100 BTC, which is equivalent to 4.4 million dollars at current prices.

The mysterious investor who made the $1.2 million transfer can be seen in the records that he withdrew these BTC from Binance before sending them to Nakamoto's wallet. So far, the trader has not disclosed his identity, but at least Binance knows who he is because of its identity verification procedures. It is also noteworthy that the transaction coincided with a time when the Bitcoin ETF agenda intensified and was very close to approval.
