Malcolm' Series Renewed with Frankie Munitz, Bryan Cranston, and Jane Kaczmarek on Board
On the 25th anniversary of the launch of the series "Malcolm", fans of the series were greeted with incredible news.
The sitcom will return with a short 4-episode sequel.
In the renewed production, we will see Frankie Munitz again, who played the lead role of the child prodigy Malcolm, as well as Bryan Cranston and Jane Kaczmarek, who took on the roles of his eccentric parents.
The creator of the cult series, Linwood Boomer, is also coming on board the anticipated series, and will be an executive producer and screenwriter for the new episodes.
Christopher Masterson and Justin Burfield, who played Malcolm's older brothers Francis and Reese, are also expected to return for the sequel.
For Eric Per Sullivan, who played the youngest of the brothers, Dewey, the return is the most uncertain, as in 2010 the star announced that he was quitting acting.
The production renewal has been ordered by the streaming service Disney+, and although no premiere date has been announced yet, we already know what the new episodes will be about.
According to the official synopsis, Malcolm and his daughter will be drawn into family chaos after his father Hal and mother Louise insist they attend their 40th wedding anniversary.
