Robert Kennedy Jr.'s Bitcoin gift to his kids and his crypto vision
Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the Democratic presidential candidate and environmental activist, has revealed that he bought 14 Bitcoin (BTC) for his seven children earlier this year. Why did he buy Bitcoin?

According to his financial disclosure report, Kennedy had between $100,001 and $250,000 worth of Bitcoin in a brokerage account as of June 30, 2023. However, if he bought 14 Bitcoin around the time of the conference, when the price was about $26,800 per coin, his total investment would have been about $375,000.

Since then, the price of Bitcoin has fluctuated between $29,000 and $31,000. As of July 29, the price of Bitcoin is $29,210, which means that Kennedy’s 14 Bitcoin are worth about $409,000. This is a gain of about 9% from his initial investment.

Kennedy is one of the few presidential candidates who has openly expressed his support for Bitcoin and the crypto industry. He has said that he would back the U.S. dollar with Bitcoin and end capital gains taxes on crypto transactions if elected president.
