Kyber Network announces compensation plan for KyberSwap hack
Kyber Network has posted a plan to compensate 100% of assets for users who suffered losses from the KyberSwap hack in November 2023. On the evening of December 20, Kyber Network announced a plan to overcome the consequences of the hack targeting the KyberSwap platform on November 23, 2023. Accordingly, the project has divided the compensated subjects into 5 groups, based on where they held assets on KyberSwap at the time of the attack. - Group 1: 48.8 million USD in assets withdrawn by hackers from KyberSwap, not yet restored; - Group 2: 172,148 USD of assets withdrawn by bots after the attack, not yet restored - Group 3: 6.4 million USD in assets withdrawn by bots after the attack, 5.17 million USD recovered. - Group 4: 24,478 USD of assets locked in the pool due to errors caused by the attack; - Group 5: 706,162 USD of assets locked in the pool due to errors caused by the attack, recovered. Asset prices are referenced to data taken from CoinGecko immediately before the hack occurred.
