CONTENT CREATION AND EVERYDAY LIFE.

I was in the last edition of the CONTENT CREATORS CONNECT and during one of their interactive sessions, a question was asked on the best way to manage content creation with everyday life.

(A friend invited me to the event.)
I thought about it and came up with the following based on personal experience.

I believe the best way to manage content creation with everyday life is to combine the two. Imagine making content from your everyday life or at least, from most days of the week. Sounds exciting right????

You can start by developing the observer mindset. If you are watchful enough to pay attention to the details of things happening around you, in no time, you will transform yourself from a passive participant to an active observer. This makes everything appear like content especially the ones that are record-worthy as they hold the potential for unique narratives.

You can also look out for the extraordinary details in the ordinary. Think beyond the face-value of everyday experiences and at least, try to carve out the extraordinary value or content they contain, represent or can be compared to. I remember walking home from class one night in a group of friends, and upon reaching diversions, the company will reduce as each person would take his own way home. I later related this illustration to life and there was sense in it - people we know and flow with will go separate ways as life happens.

Also take note that people connect with stories they can see themselves in, so share your experiences with a personal touch, humor, vulnerability, or insightful takeaways. You can choose to present your content in the form of stories, expositions, descriptions or arguments. As you do, remember, the key is to weave your own unique voice and perspective into the narrative.
