Saying the Truth Even If It Hurts

In a world where shadows dance with light,
And whispers weave through the silent night,
There lies a tale, often untold,
Of courage, of hearts both brave and bold.

Truth, they say, is a golden thread,
Woven in the tapestry of what’s been said.
Yet, in a realm where facades prevail,
Truth stands alone, a ship set to sail.

Beneath the veil of polite disguise,
Where falsehoods linger in innocent eyes,
There breathes a strength, pure and free,
For the truth, even painful, is a key.

To speak what’s real, to cast away the mask,
Is not an easy or gentle task.
It cuts through lies like a sharpened blade,
But in its wake, falsehoods fade.

A friend, dear and near, you see them drift,
Caught in a lie, a deceptive rift.
To tell them true, to bear your soul,
Is to offer them a chance to be whole.

The truth can sting, it can tear apart,
It can burden the mind, it can break a heart.
But in that pain, a seed is sown,
A chance for the spirit to truly grow.

For in the garden of honesty, truth must bloom,
Even if it ushers in shadows of gloom.
The darkness is fleeting, it shall pass,
Leaving behind a field of grass.

Where trust can sprout, where bonds can mend,
Where broken hearts have time to bend.
To the truth, we owe our deepest ties,
Stronger than a web of lies.

Imagine a world, so stark and bright,
Where every truth is held in the light.
Where no shadow, no hidden scheme,
Disturbs the peace of a perfect dream.

To face the truth, with open arms,
Is to embrace a life with fewer harms.
For what can harm, what can truly bind,
When all that’s hidden is left behind?

In relationships, where love is dear,
Truth is the compass, the star, the seer.
Guiding through storms, through turbulent seas,
Bringing forth calm, bringing forth ease.

A lover’s quarrel, a family feud,
Hearts in turmoil, spirits subdued.
Yet, in the midst of this fiery storm,
Truth takes shape, a resilient form.

It’s the foundation on which trust is built,
It clears the mind of shadows and guilt.
For secrets kept are like poison’s touch,
Corroding bonds, harming so much.

To say the truth, even if it cuts,
Is to open doors, to rid of ruts.
It’s a path to freedom, a breath so pure,
A life less tangled, a heart more sure.

The truth may hurt, it may cause dismay,
But it paves a clear and honest way.
For in its light, all things are seen,
Clear as crystal, sharp and keen.

In friendships old and love so new,
In every bond that’s strong and true,
Truth is the fabric, the core, the thread,
The words unspoken, the feelings said.

To bear the truth, to let it fly,
Is to trust in wings that can reach the sky.
To hold it close, to never part,
Is to keep it safe within your heart.

So speak the truth, with courage and grace,
Let honesty take its rightful place.
For in its wake, you’ll find, at last,
The chains of deceit forever cast.

And there, in the light of a new day’s dawn,
You’ll find the strength to carry on.
For the truth, as ancient voices decree,
In its purest form, shall set you free.
