What is Tron?

An open-source blockchain platform called Tron is intended to serve as the foundation for a decentralized internet. It has the ability to execute smart contracts, the fundamental units of decentralized applications (dapps), which are programs that run on top of Tron's network of nodes and are therefore immune to being shut down or taken over by a single person or organization.

The goal of Tron is to serve as the basis for the development of advanced services like as trading platforms, decentralized gaming networks, and decentralized finance (DeFi) applications.

Who invented Tron?

Justin Sun, a former top official at Ripple in China, founded Tron. Sun handed up management of the project to the non-profit Tron DAO, a decentralized autonomous organization, when he resigned from his position as CEO of the Tron Foundation in December 2021.

The trajectory of Tron

By developing its ecosystem to enable multiple decentralized applications (dapps) and initiatives like its stablecoin, USDD, Tron hopes to take a prominent role in the developing decentralized internet.
