Two Friends !

Once upon a time, two friends used to live in a city. Both of them used to go to the sea shore every day and collect shells from there and sell them in the city. Their livelihood continued like this every day.
One day when both of them went to the seashore to collect shells, one of their friends found a very big shell.

Seeing this, his other friend starts thinking that he has got a big con, now he will earn more money than me.

So he thinks that he will also find a bigger conk, so he starts searching for a bigger conk.

Even if he got small shells to win, he would throw them away and his other friend would pick up those shells and keep them with him.

This continued and it became evening but even after searching a lot he could not find any big suspect.

He did not collect any shells. On the other hand, his friend had collected many small shells also.

Both of them now return to the city and the friend who had collected the shells goes to sell them.

When he returns after selling those shells, his friend asks him how much money he got for those shells.

So he says that he got 1 thousand rupees from that big shank and 3 thousand rupees from that small shank i.e. he had earned a total of 4 thousand rupees.

Hearing this, the other friend feels very sad and thinks that if he had not thrown away those small coins, today he too would have had three thousand rupees.

Lesson Of The Story

From this story we learn that sometimes there are many small opportunities in our life.

But we leave them and keep searching for some big opportunity which never comes in our life, similarly we are in the cycle of searching for big happiness.

We forget our small happiness, hence we should also pay attention to small things in our life.
