A conscious consumer is a person who analyzes whether he/she needs a good or service before purchasing it, if he/she decides that he/she needs it, he/she does research in this process and takes care to use it for a long time.

Conscious consumer behaviors are as follows:

  • When it considers buying a good or service, it first analyzes whether it needs that good or service. In this analysis process, it evaluates the alternatives available to it and postpones this purchase if it has another good or service that can do the job.
  • If he has decided to buy, he does market research. Among the characteristics of an informed consumer, he/she prefers to do market research and buy the most affordable version of the same product or service with the same value. Thus, some of his/her money stays in his/her pocket and his/her savings increase. Saving also makes a great contribution to our national economy.
  • Buying a product or service is not the end of the process. Since the warranty offered is also very important, conscious consumers always prefer reliable companies; if necessary, they shop at small price differences. The reason for this is that if the goods or services you receive are damaged / deteriorated, they are covered by the warranty and you are safe so that you do not need to buy again.

  • Consumers know their rights and do not hesitate to apply to the Consumer Arbitration Committee when necessary. Consumers who are aware that they do not earn their money easily are conscious.
  • When shopping, he/she prepares a shopping list and does not go beyond that list. When shopping outside the list, we often buy products that we do not need with our impulses at that moment, and giving money for a product we do not use causes waste.
  • Another answer to the question of what a conscious consumer is is that the services or goods they buy do not harm the environment. First our country, then our world is our home and it is our duty to keep our home clean and leave it to the next generations as we found it.
  • He is against waste and has made this attitude his life philosophy. He is aware that one person wasting a drop of water is not important, but 1 million people wasting a drop of water can cause major problems in times of drought. Therefore, it buys and uses as much as it needs.
