WEB3 & The Preservation Of Capitalism
Communism Is Knocking At The Door
Capitalism is by no means perfect. However, it is without a doubt the best-known system to man. The current degradation of the US is to many an extremely sad and equally devastating predicament. If you are paying attention, you will note that alongside this slump into ineffective governance is the introduction of subtle communist ideology. This has been the case for some time now. Sadly, it is becoming a lot less subtle with every passing day.
Capitalism promotes human effort, responsibility, and personal success. Without it, what motivation is there to succeed? What motivation is there to work hard, and to become a person of accomplishments? The capitalist model ensures that those who put in the effort and take the risks, enjoy the fruit of their endeavors. This model is not entirely perfect. However, it holds the greatest promise of success.
If you look at societal constructs and global stratification you will note that the happiest and wealthiest jurisdictions are those where capitalism is embraced, or at least permitted. Even though communism and capitalism are often considered in view of a government or jurisdiction, the principles that are integral to communism can also be evident in other areas of expression. Specifically, online… and what I like to think of as “virtual cities” such as Hive.
Taking a look at different platforms from an objective point of view reveals that some are more capitalist in nature than others. Restrictive measures, that ultimately stifle productivity, engagement, and reach are becoming increasingly common, even amongst the more prominent and most utilized platforms. As I have mentioned a number of times over the past six months or so, this will only increase with time, ultimately pushing users to explore alternative possibilities.
True WEB3 Culture
Essentially, a platform that embraces true WEB3 ideology places no restrictions upon its users. You can post and engage as little, or as often as you like. You can also address whatever interests you, as opposed to being limited, or marginalized. Furthermore, you can choose to make a dedicated effort and begin experiencing a level of success and monetary compensation, if you so choose. At the end of the day, it’s your digital home, and nobody gets to tell you what you do in your own home.
This is WEB3 independence, making it the obvious choice for anyone with a long-term horizon. It’s pointless building where you are going to be restricted. Effective strategies always incorporate long-term outcomes and probabilities. Simply thinking about today, or living in the moment, is how the frog eventually gets boiled alive. Removing freedoms slowly, eventually places users in a position of “restrictive inefficiency”.
As I mentioned, a capitalist model is by no means perfect. However, it’s the most viable and beneficial model we have in terms of maintaining one’s independent income generation, wealth, and freedoms. Looking at Hive, for example, reveals a rather interesting fact. Many of the more prominent and influential community members exist because of a model that is favorable and in agreement with capitalism.
The ideology surrounding Hive is rather simple and does not exclude anyone. It’s a simple case of the following:
If you want it, go out there and make it happen!
This is the very essence of capitalism, and without it, there is not much motivation, or need for goals. Hive is a capitalist model. You, your contribution, and your effort decide your future on Hive. It’s that simple. Yes, you cannot guarantee success due to effort. However, that is true of any capitalist model.
Final Thoughts
Many First World countries appear to be on a slippery slope heading toward communist ideologies. This is likely to begin seeping into every aspect of life and business, including the Internet. Making use of and defending WEB3 opportunities and ideals is imperative, in my opinion. Simultaneously, it’s how we stay ahead of the game, and work towards securing and defending our independence. Thanks for the visit. See you next time!
