About Balthazar


Balthazar DAO funds, and supports projects within its ecosystem. Balthazar DAO began by focusing on the distribution of assets between games and players and making this more democratised with its Guild project (Balthazar Guild). The Guild project taught Balthazar DAO about the dynamics of the web3 gaming landscape, particularly:
In game economies
Ownership of assets
Playability of a game and its longterm impact on the game's economy.
Value of community and governance
Through it's discovery, Balthazar DAO identified two core primitive problems:
a) Games are struggling with their go to market strategies due to volatile crypto markets resulting in less venture funding - and increased reliance on NFT sales.
b) Game studios are unable to effectively build on the blockchain due to a lack of knowledge, standardisation (for interoperability and efficiency) and resources - this inefficiency results in less focus on creating fun games (and ultimately adoption).
These problems can be solved through the following Balthazar product proposals:
a) Balthazar Research, Balthazar Guild, Balthazar Launchpad
b) Babylon SDK

Our game research is led by our Chief Gaming Officer, Nicholas 'NicoThePico' Korsgård who was a former professional League of Legends player and coach for Fnatic, Origen, Ninjas in Pyjamas, PostFinance Helix, Enigma.

Infrastructure
A core driver of the innovation within Balthazar DAO is infrastructure. Infrastructure products are both decentralised, and scalable, and are pivotal in driving BZR token value. The DAO will continue to fund projects, including backing products proposed and voted on by the community. The DAO community will also be rewarded for voting/implementing key products that result in token growth and revenue.
