Introduction to the collection

Two days ago I released my first physical 3D-painted art with corresponding poetry. The concept is called the Flowing Buttons Collection and was developed during a 5-8-month period in 2023 and 2024. The collection is vibrant colored, portraying painted art and 3D elements using wooden buttons, flowers, and yarn.

The Flowing Buttons Collection is meant to show you that life has many knots and many challenges, but there are so many ways to see them through. You can see them from one dimension, from one island, from one lens, but when you change perspective you might see that there are more ways to go at it. This Collection is meant to show you positive polarities.

This collection was my way of elevating my 2D-painted art with an extra dimension, giving the art pieces more body, depth, and definition. As a starting artist, teaching myself how to paint, the 3D elements of wood and yarn gave me a lot of freedom to experiment even more and longer with the pieces. Wood is a natural organic element relating to groundedness, grid, longevity, and sustainability. These concepts guided me through the creative process.

The creative process

Making this type of art was inspired by me writing. Writing was a means of me processing many things from ideas to situations. Writing then became too familiar. Painting became the next challenge. I never expected to love it so much.
I started on small papers and grew into canvasses when the small papers were just too small. I needed a silent brain and to connect with my inner knowing to get these pieces out. I experienced that not taking good enough care of myself blocked me numerous times in the creation process of this collection. The more I changed my behaviour, the better the creative magic flowed. This goes hand in hand with some of the tips @Miguel shared in one of his Bulb articles on creativity.

NFT Collection

I am currently diving into the (digital) art NFT space so I can elevate my collection and extend it to the Web3 space. I have been researching Blockchains, marketplaces, (functional) utilities, and concepts. I've been looking into chains like Polygon, Solana, and AVAX. Been looking into Magic Eden and OpenSea. I've come across platforms like Drip (see below for invite code). And I also connected with a vivid Dutch collector. Additionally, for a while now, I've been playing around with to node projects using NFTs in very creative ways.
All these concepts have interesting utility and technology. I find it fascinating to see how the internet has evolved since its first mainstream boom in the 2000s. Being a millennial, I've experienced most of it and the space is still exponentially growing. Currently and especially in the Web 3.0 space. It depends on the specific sub-sector you focus on to be in deep knowledge about ICT, internet technology and science. But the deep-dive research and experiments have been very rewarding. I come from an internal consultancy background with a few extra years in finance-, software development, and education. Currently, creativity, education, and Web 3.0 are my focus.

I reflect on a very worth while and welcoming experience making these pieces of art. I hope to share more of the process with you. I will be writing about my experiences on the different platforms where I express my art. This also includes Bulb. I am enjoying the platform very much. Been a member since last summer (2023) and seeing the growth Bulb has been making. It is especially interesting to see how the community is growing. At first, the platform was small. You kinda saw the same writers coming back at the top. The list keeps evolving and writers are very consistent in developing great pieces.

What are you doing with NFT technology?

I'm curious about what NFT experiences and knowledge can be shared with the community. What are your thoughts about (digital) art projects in the Web3 space? How have you been using NFT technology to elevate your creative expressions? Share your thoughts, tips, and tricks in the comments. Tag any great writers you follow on Bulb writing about NFT technology and projects.

Web 3.0 Offers

I discovered Drip via a top writer on Bulb: @CryptoEntrepreneurs πŸ–ŠοΈ I always learn something from his writing. He writes in a very structured and balanced extensive way. This is his article on Drip.
Here is an invite code to Drip. With this code you can get free access to the Drip.haus platform instead of paying, I believe, 0.1 SOL. I've been loving collecting on the platform. I will be writing about my experience as a creative with Drip since December 2023. If you want a sneak preview of what you can get on the platform, visit my Drip profile πŸ–ΌοΈ

One time use discount code Drip: CBXZYk9x (tag me in the comments for new code if this one is used)
