1️⃣ Three Arrows Capital Founders Face $1.1 Billion Asset Freeze 🥶
A court in the British Virgin Islands has ordered a global freeze of up to $1.1 billion worth of assets owned by Su Zhu, Kyle Davies and Kelly Chen (the spouse of Kyle Davies), the founders of Three Arrows Capital (3AC), a crypto hedge fund. The order was obtained by Teneo Restructuring, the liquidators of 3AC, who are suing the founders for allegedly causing 3AC’s financial position to worsen by the same amount as the frozen assets.
Teneo stated,
The liquidators are pursuing claims that allege, amongst other things, that the Founders should be held responsible for causing 3AC’s position to deteriorate by an amount that is equivalent to the value of the freezing orders sought.

2️⃣ Worldcoin Stops Iris Scanning In India, Brazil, France 🧐
Local media reports have revealed that Worldcoin, a decentralized identity protocol, has ceased its offline orb verification function for users in three countries: India, Brazil, and France. Tools for Humanity, the foundation behind Worldcoin, said that the project had “silently discontinued” the orb verification process in India “3-4 months ago.” It further explained that the Orb was a “limited-time access” initiative in India, France and Brazil from the beginning.

3️⃣ U.S. Appeals Court Confirms Forfeiture of Silk Road Bitcoin ⚖️
Recent court filings have shown that a U.S. appeals court has issued a mandate that confirms the forfeiture of 69,370 of bitcoin and other crypto linked to the infamous Silk Road dark web marketplace. The filings indicate that the mandate is effective immediately, but the judgment was made in August.
The U.S. government has been holding the crypto since it was surrendered by the mysterious “Individual X” who hacked into Silk Road and took over its funds. Besides Bitcoin, the confiscated assets also included Bitcoin gold (BTG), Bitcoin SV (BSV), and Bitcoin Cash (BCH).

4️⃣ Ledger to Disable Blind Signing on Dapps by June 2024 ❗️
In response to the recent exploit of Ledger’s Connect Kit software library, the hardware wallet maker has announced that it will be disabling blind signing for EVM dapps by June 2024. Ledger also announced that affected victims would be “made whole” and that it is working with the DApp ecosystem to enable “Clear Signing” - a “what you see is what you sign” approach in which smart contract signing is displayed in a human-readable way.

5️⃣ SBF Faces Sentencing Soon As Judge Rejects Delay Request ❌
Former FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried is running out of time as U.S. federal judge Lewis Kaplan has reportedly rejected his plea for a postponement of his sentencing hearing. SBF’s lawyers had asked for a four- to six-week delay of the hearing, which was scheduled for March 28, and wanted to push it back to “early-mid May 2024.” However, Judge Kaplan said that the defence had not raised any issues with the sentencing date before and that SBF had already been given enough time for the pre-sentencing interview.

‘Avail’, a data availability solution, is reportedly teaming up with StarkWare to improve data availability for appchains powered by validity proofs within the Starknet Layer 2 network. Avail will enable these “layer 3” networks to slash data publishing costs by up to 90% when compared with using Ethereum for data availability, without depending on a permissioned solution.
