Shantel VanSanten, born on July 25, 1985, is a versatile American actress and model. Her modeling career has seen her grace the pages of renowned magazines like Teen Vogue and Seventeen. Transitioning to television, she made a mark as Quinn James in the CW teen drama series One Tree Hill. VanSanten's talent also shone in recurring roles such as Becca Butcher in the Amazon Prime Original The Boys and as Julie Swagger, the wife of the lead character Bob Lee Swagger, in the USA Network series Shooter.


In the realm of cinema, she has showcased her acting prowess in notable films such as The Final Destination, You and I, and Something Wicked. At the tender age of 15, VanSanten embarked on her modeling journey under the guidance of Page Parkes Management, marking the commencement of her illustrious career.


VanSanten's journey in the entertainment industry saw her venture into reality television with a stint on NBC's Sports Illustrated: Swimsuit Model Search, where she reached the finals but was eliminated in the series' premiere episode.


In 2007, she secured a role in the film adaptation of the novel t.A.T.u. Come Back, sharing the screen with Mischa Barton. Filming for the project occurred in Los Angeles and Moscow, with the movie debuting in Russia on January 25, 2011, and under the title You and I in the United States a year later.


Her career gained further traction in 2009 when she appeared as Lori Milligan in The Final Destination, the fourth installment of the horror franchise. Simultaneously, she landed a series regular role on The CW's One Tree Hill during its seventh season. Portraying photographer Quinn James, VanSanten captivated audiences as the on-screen sibling to Bethany Joy Lenz's character. Her tenure on the show extended until its ninth and final season, marking her final appearance in the series' 187th and concluding episode.


VanSanten's contributions to the small screen did not go unnoticed, as evidenced by her rankings on BuddyTV's "TV's 100 Sexiest Women" list, claiming the 24th spot in 2010 and rising to 21st in 2011.


VanSanten's career continued to flourish with diverse roles across television and film. She starred as Christine in Something Wicked, marking the final film appearance of actress Brittany Murphy, who portrayed VanSanten's sister-in-law Susan.
In addition, she appeared in Golden Christmas 3, a family-oriented holiday romantic comedy directed by Michael Feifer, alongside Rob Mayes, Mark Famiglietti, Nikki DeLoach, and Orson Bean.


On television, VanSanten portrayed Vera Buckley in the series The Messengers, which unfortunately was canceled after one season. She then took on the role of Patty Spivot in the second season of The CW's Arrowverse TV series The Flash, where she became Detective Joe West's new protégée and a member of the metahuman task force at the Central City Police Department.


From 2016 to 2018, she co-starred in the USA Network drama series Shooter as Julie Swagger, the wife of lead character Bob Lee Swagger. VanSanten also made a guest appearance as Amy in the final season of the CBS television series Scorpion in 2017.
She gained further recognition for her portrayal of Rebecca Butcher in the first two seasons of the Amazon Prime Video series The Boys. Since 2019, VanSanten has starred as Karen Baldwin in the Apple TV+ original science fiction space drama series For All Mankind. Additionally, she lent her voice to the character Wraith in the video game Apex Legends in 2019.


In 2022 and 2023, VanSanten recurred in the role of Special Agent Nina Chase during the fourth and fifth seasons of the CBS procedural series FBI. Her versatility and talent across various genres have solidified her status as a sought-after actress in both television and film.


On February 9, 2021, VanSanten happily announced her engagement to actor Victor Webster, whom she had met on the set of Love Blossoms in 2016. Their relationship blossomed, leading to a joyous union in October 2021. However, sadly, their marital journey faced an unexpected turn when, in January 2023, Webster filed for divorce, marking the end of their union after less than two years of marriage.
