I wake up very early in the morning
Do what I need to do so I am not late
I get to work on time and clock in for my shift
And that's how I became the MVP at work

I work at a mega-store in the electronics section
I carry out my task to the best of my ability
I do it with finesse and poise
I assist my colleagues and customers with difficulties
And that's how I became the MVP at work

I leave for work and I head home
Before that, I go to the grocery section and get something for everyone
I get home and make dinner with my loved ones
And that's how I became the MVP at home

On my days off and the weekends, I chill with friends
I'm happy to listen to them and offer my advice
I do this without prejudice or discrimination
And that's how I became the MVP to my friends

Excerpts:

Everyone wants to be there for their loved ones and be a star at work. However, there is work to be done. You need to handle both tasks judiciously. Sometimes both roles might be intertwined, like if you have friends at work. Nevertheless, to be an MVP you need to put the work in.

So why is it important to be an MVP? Well to each his own is what I would say. Different reasons for different people. Some people want to be an MVP for personal achievement. Some for recognition. Whatever reason you choose to become an MVP never forget to do it with humility. That's very important. Because no one likes an MVP with a high shoulder. Be humble and people will take to you.

You can become an MVP by doing things people find impressive or helping them out. Go out of your way to make someone or people happy. Note, do not do this at face value just for the sake of it. Do it like you mean it, be intentional about it and you will reap its reward.

Nothing like sitting back and watching people heap praises on you for work done for both your family and friends, and even sometimes work. If you are already an MVP you know what I mean. It's not pride or anything, it just refreshing to hear people say nice and wonderful things about you.

In conclusion,  there are people in our lives who deserve to be praised and recognized as MVP’s. Remember to recognize them today. If you also desire to become an MVP remember to be there for people in times of need and they will also recognize your effort. Be an MVP to at least one person in your life so that they can have fond memories about you.
