The founding of Turkey was declared as a republic on October 29, 1923. Throughout its history, Istanbul has been known as a place where many ethnic cultures come together. There are many mosques, churches, synagogues, palaces and towers to visit in the city.

Hagia Sophia, which is considered important for Muslims and Christians, is located in Istanbul. The Bosphorus, which connects the Black Sea and the Marmara Sea, is located in this city. The Bosphorus has a very narrow and curved structure compared to the waters used for international transportation. The closest point between the two sides of the Bosphorus is 698 meters between Anadoluhisarı and Rumelihisarı.
