Vacation, Albania - Durrës
With the arrival of autumn and these cold days, I can't help but remember summer, sun and enjoying the beach. We spent the summer in Albania. Due to various prejudices about this country, I decided to write about my experience...
We traveled through Kosovo. To cross the border, you only need an ID card, and for children, an extract from the birth register with a picture. The trip went without any problems. We enjoyed the beauty. Prizren was definitely the most beautiful city. I hope that next time I will stay longer and enjoy. A passport is required to cross the Albanian border.
Albania is a very poor country. People keep goats... There is no greenery, everything is mostly stone. But next to the sea coast, everything changes. As if the country is different. Everything becomes much more beautiful.
Durres is a wonderful and big city. There are wonderful beaches. And it is full of history.
We mostly entered the city beach, it's called the long city beach. Everything is wonderful. Loungers are very cheap and there are a lot of them. There are many people on the beach. Mostly Albanians, but there are also a lot of Serbs, Ukrainians, Italians... People are very kind. They play football, dance, sing, ...
I remember the night life, it's wonderful. The city streets are full of people. In restaurants, people have dinner, but also play kolo, the Albanian national dance. The food is excellent. I like kebabs the most, in Prizren... I also ate the best ice cream in my life. The nights are warm and great for walking and enjoying the wonderful city...
I hope that I will have the opportunity to visit this wonderful country again.
