MicroStrategy Continues to Buy $209 Million in Bitcoin

Since November 11, this is the 8th consecutive week that MicroStrategy has made a "positive" Bitcoin purchase. The total capital used to buy Bitcoin is up to 17.87 billion USD.

On the evening of December 30, 2024, the public company MicroStrategy announced that in the past week, it used $209 million in cash to buy an additional 2,138 Bitcoins, at an average price of $97,837 per coin.

MicroStrategy's latest Bitcoin purchase was made thanks to the sale of 592,987 convertible bonds. As of December 30, the company still has 6.88 billion convertible bonds ready to issue in the next sale.
Similar to each time he announced his plan to buy Bitcoin, billionaire Michael Saylor often "teased" by posting an image of the SaylorTracker portfolio tracking tool.

By adding BTC to his portfolio, billionaire Michael Saylor's company increased its total Bitcoin holdings to 446,400 BTC, with an average purchase price of 62,428 per BTC.

The annualized BTC investment return (BTC Yield) as of December 30, 2024 is 74.1%, while the fourth quarter of 2024 is currently 47.8%

  • A week ago, it bought another 5,262 BTC with $561 million from the sale of 1.3 million convertible bonds.
